Sephora Sand Illusions Palette Update!

I got the Sephora Sand Illusions Palette to work!  This was so exciting I had to share.

I primed my skin with Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion ($12) -- a miracle for color payoff -- and layered on a few strokes of the dry eyeshadow.. and voila!

Natural sunlight is long gone, but you can tell how beautiful these colors turned out!  I'm an idiot for not thinking to use UD's Primer Potion earlier when I was swatching.  This is a completely dry application of the baked shadows, and I can't believe how pigmented they look now.  Okay.. besides the coral shade.  I honestly think there's no saving that one, especially on my tan skin tone.

Regardless, the shadows are so pretty now that I stopped being so dense and primed first.  I'm especially in love with the light pink shade.  I can't even capture in a photo how pretty it is -- it reflects light beautifully, and its iridescence changes in different light (between a dusty rose and a creamy champagne color).

Here is the original swatch photo for reference

This is also the perfect example of how much of a difference priming your eyelid actually makes.  I'm telling you!!

Well. That's that!
