Clothing Haul

"Haul" is the wrong word for this post, because there are only a few items.. but it just makes sense.  Moving on.  I stopped in at Akira and Forever 21 for some quick, inexpensive spring/summer pieces.  I honestly don't normally shop at places like Forever 21 often, because I find that a lot of their items sort of fall apart (or are simply poorly constructed), but I came across some cute (and cheap) pieces!

1] These adorable white wingtip oxfords!

My favorite pair of boots are wingtip oxfords, so I'm a big fan of this style.  I can see these being paired with so many different outfits for the warmer months -- anything from cut-offs and a button down to a flowy summer dress and floppy straw hat.

They were only $20, so I'm not sure how long they'll hold up, but I suppose that's the point of buying a pair of $20 shoes from Akira!

2] A khaki/beige skort!

[I apologize for these grainy mirror pics -- when I figure out an easier way to photograph myself, I will utilize it at once, haha.  I may need to employ someone I know to take them for me!]  I've been eyeing a skort like this for a while, and I finally bought one.  This is definitely a trendier piece (more so than I usually go for) so I doubt it'll be in style for more than another season or two.  So for $20 it was almost guilt-free!  (And it has pockets!!)

3] This gorgeous lace/crochet crop top!

I am a HUGE sucker for lace/crochet pieces.  It's a style that I gravitate towards every summer, no matter if it's on trend or not.  It hasn't been making a huge resurgence for spring/summer '14, but I've seen a few clutch pieces in stores.  This is one of them.

I own maybe 20 crop tops, and I'm equally in love with lace, so this buy was a no-brainer.  It is GORGEOUS.  I pretty much only wear neutrals, and with this top being such a lovely cream color, it made it even more irresistible.  I'll definitely be pairing this with some cut-offs and sandals, as well as layering it over plain, summer dresses.

4]  A pair of distressed, boyfriend jeans!

[If I stare at another grainy mirror pic in one of my posts again I will cringe.  I. Am. So. Sorry!]  I love a good pair of jeans.  I love a good pair of distressed jeans.  I love a good pair of boyfriend jeans.  So combine them all and it's heaven.  There are endless ways to style them, and it doesn't look like they're falling out of trend anytime soon.

Stay tuned for my beauty haul!
